Metropolitan Rail Shaft
Constructed a 28-meter deep hard-hard secant pile wall through saturated clay strata, achieving total water cut-off for TBM launch operations.
Overlapping cast-in-situ bored pile walls engineered to deliver high structural stiffness, lateral earth retention, and continuous groundwater cut-off in soft soils and high water tables.
Secant pile walls are constructed by drilling and casting overlapping concrete piles to form a continuous, monolithic retaining structure. Primary (female) piles are drilled first using slow-setting concrete, followed by secondary (male) piles drilled so that they cut directly into the primary piles.
This overlapping geometry eliminates gaps between piles, making secant walls the preferred solution for deep basements and metro stations where both heavy lateral earth retention and strict groundwater control are required.
GRIMTECH employs heavy hydraulic rotary piling rigs equipped with high-torque drives, full casing oscillators, and specialized rock augers to guarantee precise pile overlap and verticality.
