Commercial Center Basement Shoring
Installed a 600 mm diameter contiguous / shore bored pile wall backed with wire mesh shotcrete, providing rigid support for a 14-meter deep excavation.
Closely spaced cast-in-situ bored pile walls engineered for fast, cost-effective lateral earth support in dry ground conditions and low water tables.
Contiguous / Shore pile walls are formed by installing a line of closely spaced bored cast-in-situ concrete piles with small gaps (typically 75 mm to 150 mm) left between adjacent piles.
They provide a highly economical and rigid earth retention system for deep excavations where groundwater ingress is minimal or where the surrounding soil possesses sufficient cohesion to prevent soil loss through the gaps.
Unlike secant pile walls, contiguous piles do not overlap and do not form an immediate watertight seal.
Where soil seepage or localized groundwater is present between contiguous / shore piles, a shotcrete lining with weep holes or jet grouted column backing can be applied between the piles to complete the retaining face. Contiguous / Shore walls offer faster installation rates and lower concrete consumption compared to secant walls.
GRIMTECH deploys high-speed rotary hydraulic piling rigs to execute contiguous / shore pile walls rapidly across large site perimeters.
